They never run out
Each one is a shape, a palette, a dither and a seed. That is over a hundred thousand before you touch a single dial, and every one of them keeps moving. Shuffle until something stops you, then keep that one.
Still or moving
Freeze any single frame as your desktop picture, or let it keep drifting behind your icons at a speed you choose. Drop in a photo and it dithers that instead.
Stays on your Mac
A small handle sits on the edge of your screen: click it and the editor opens, no Dock icon, no window in the way. Sandboxed, no account, no analytics, and nothing about you leaves your Mac.

- Fresh bowl
- A new wallpaper every hour or every day, if you like being surprised. If you liked the last one better, Previous brings it back.
- Presets
- Found a good one? Save the whole setup under a name, then switch between your presets from the menu bar. A calm one for work, a loud one for the evening.
- Export

Questions
Is it a subscription?
No. You pay once and it is yours, updates included.
Will an animated wallpaper drain my battery?
It only draws as many frames as the motion needs: 20 a second at the default speed, 30 at most and as few as 5 on a very slow wallpaper. That is about 1% of one CPU core on an Apple silicon MacBook Pro, and it stops drawing when windows cover the desktop. A still wallpaper costs nothing once it is set. Here is what we measured.
Can I save a wallpaper I like?
Yes. Save it as a preset and it keeps the shape, colours, dither and every slider, ready to switch back to from the menu bar. You can also export any wallpaper as a PNG.
Does it work with more than one display?
Yes. Every display gets the wallpaper at its own resolution, and plugging one in or out sorts itself.
Which Macs does it run on?
macOS 14 Sonoma or later, on Apple silicon and Intel.
Can I try it before I buy?
There is no trial, but if it is not for you, you get a full refund within 14 days, no questions asked. You can see every shape in the gallery first.
Direct download or Mac App Store?
Same app, same price. The direct download comes with a licence key and updates itself; the App Store version updates through the App Store.
Can I use the wallpapers somewhere else?
Yes. Export a PNG and it is yours to use anywhere, including commercially.

A licence is one payment, sold through Dodo Payments, who handle your receipt and any tax, and it is good for up to 3 of your Macs. After paying you download a notarized DMG that updates itself, and paste the key from your receipt. The Mac App Store version is the same app at the same price. Not for you? Refunds within 14 days, no questions asked.
